Managed Python, Django and Flask apps, on a server we run
Python apps need a tidy stack: a virtual environment, an app server, a worker for background jobs and a database. We build it, watch it and keep it healthy.
Python, Django and Flask apps: what we look after
- Gunicorn or uWSGI behind Nginx, with HTTPS and tuned worker counts
- Virtual environments and requirement files kept clean and repeatable
- Celery or RQ workers and schedulers kept running
- PostgreSQL or MySQL tuning, migrations support and backups
- Python version upgrades with a check that the app still starts
- Static and media files served fast and backed up
When it goes wrong
- A migration that failed halfway during a release
- Workers that stop processing tasks without any error
- Package conflicts after an upgrade
- A database that has grown slow because nobody looked at it
- Static files that disappear after a deploy
Who uses managed Python, Django and Flask apps
Teams running Django, Flask or FastAPI sites and APIs, including data and machine-learning back ends that need a stable server.
What it needs
A supported Python version, a virtual environment per app, Gunicorn or Uvicorn behind Nginx, a database such as PostgreSQL, and 1 to 2 GB of RAM or more depending on workers.
What we check first
Before we change anything on a new Python, Django and Flask apps setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:
- Python version and pinned dependencies
- Whether background workers and schedulers restart on their own
- Database migrations and backup status
- Static and media file handling after a deploy
Part of every managed plan
Python, Django and Flask apps is covered by the same managed plans as the server it runs on. The price counts servers, not apps.
Watching
The app is checked from outside every minute, not only the server. If the page stops answering or turns slow, we see it before your customers write to you.
Updates
Core, plugins, packages and runtime versions are updated on a schedule, with a backup taken first and a way back if something breaks.
Backups
Files and databases are copied off the server, and a restore is tested, because a backup you have never restored is only a hope.
Security
Hardening, malware scans, firewall rules and certificate renewals are handled for you, and anything suspicious is looked at the same day.
Speed
Caching, database tuning and memory limits are set for how your app is really used, not left at install defaults.
Fixes
Errors, white screens, full disks, failed deploys and broken mail are fixed by a person who opens a ticket thread with you, not a bot.
Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.
Python, Django and Flask apps support: your questions answered
Can you take over an app that another developer built?
We can look after the server and platform it runs on. If nobody documented how it was set up, we first map what runs where, then put monitoring and backups around it.
Do you handle upgrades to a newer Python?
Yes. We try the upgrade on a copy, check that the app starts and the tests pass, and only then change the live server.
Is there a limit on the number of apps?
The plans count servers, not apps. Several apps on one server are covered as part of that server.
