Managed Docker and Compose stacks, kept tidy and safe
Containers make deploys easy and make servers messy: old images, full disks, open ports and data lost with a volume. We keep a Docker host clean, updated and backed up.
Docker and containers: what we look after
- Docker Engine and Compose updates on a schedule, with a check that containers come back
- Image updates and clean-up so the disk does not fill with old layers
- Volumes and bind mounts backed up, with a restore tried on a copy
- Firewall rules so that only the ports you mean to publish are open
- Reverse proxy and certificates in front of your containers
- Container health and restart alerts
When it goes wrong
- A disk that is full because of unused images and logs
- A database container that lost its data after a recreate
- A container published to the internet by mistake
- A stack that does not start again after a reboot
- An image that has not been updated for a year
Who uses managed Docker and containers
Teams that deploy with Docker or Compose and want the host kept safe, clean and backed up.
What it needs
A recent Linux server, Docker Engine and Compose, enough disk for images and volumes, and a firewall plan for published ports. Memory depends on the containers you run.
What we check first
Before we change anything on a new Docker and containers setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:
- Which containers run, which ports are published and who can reach them
- Where the data lives and whether the volumes are backed up
- Disk use from old images, layers and logs
- Whether the stack starts again by itself after a reboot
Part of every managed plan
Docker and containers is covered by the same managed plans as the server it runs on. The price counts servers, not apps.
Watching
The app is checked from outside every minute, not only the server. If the page stops answering or turns slow, we see it before your customers write to you.
Updates
Core, plugins, packages and runtime versions are updated on a schedule, with a backup taken first and a way back if something breaks.
Backups
Files and databases are copied off the server, and a restore is tested, because a backup you have never restored is only a hope.
Security
Hardening, malware scans, firewall rules and certificate renewals are handled for you, and anything suspicious is looked at the same day.
Speed
Caching, database tuning and memory limits are set for how your app is really used, not left at install defaults.
Fixes
Errors, white screens, full disks, failed deploys and broken mail are fixed by a person who opens a ticket thread with you, not a bot.
Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.
Docker and containers support: your questions answered
Do you manage Kubernetes?
Our plans are built around servers and Docker or Compose stacks. A small single-node setup can be looked after; for anything larger, ask first and we will tell you honestly what fits.
Can you run the apps for me?
We keep the host and the stack healthy. If you want a tool installed and run for you, such as a database or a dashboard, open a ticket and we set it up as part of the plan.
Are my volumes backed up?
Yes. Volumes and compose files are part of the backup plan for the server, so a rebuilt machine can get the stack and its data back.
