S3 storage in India: your questions answered
What is S3 storage?
S3 storage is object storage that uses the Amazon S3 API. You keep files (objects) in buckets and reach them over HTTPS with an access key and a secret key. Most backup tools, CMS plugins, libraries and command line clients already speak S3.
Is AtoZNode storage S3 compatible?
Yes. You get an endpoint, an access key and a secret key, and you can use them with the AWS CLI, s3cmd, rclone, Restic, Duplicati, Cyberduck, boto3 and other S3-compatible tools.
How much does S3 storage cost in India?
Storage plans are sold by size at a fixed monthly price in Indian rupees. Current sizes and prices are shown on the order page in your client area, and there is no currency conversion.
How do I get my storage?
Choose a size, pick a bucket name and pay by UPI, card or from your wallet. Our team then sets up your bucket and emails you when it is ready. Your endpoint and keys also appear in your client area.
What can I use it for?
Server and database backups, website media and uploads, static assets, application file storage, log archives and any data you want to keep off your servers.
Can I use it with my VPS?
Yes. Storage works from any server or app that can reach the internet, including your AtoZNode VPS.
Where do I find my access keys?
Open the storage service in your client area and press Show access keys on the Endpoint and keys tab. The secret key is stored encrypted and is only shown when you ask for it.
Can I pay in rupees with UPI?
Yes. Prices are in Indian rupees and payments are taken through Razorpay, which supports UPI, cards and net banking.
Can I cancel or change size later?
You can request cancellation from the service page. To move to a bigger size, contact support and we will help you.
Are my files backed up for me?
Object storage is a place to keep your data, not a backup of it. Keep a second copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. See our Terms for details.
