Managed MySQL, looked after for you

MySQL sits behind most websites and shops. Default settings suit a tiny server, and a bad backup plan shows itself only on the day you need it.

What we handle

MySQL: what we look after

  • my.cnf tuning for your memory and workload
  • Regular dumps or physical backups, copied off the server
  • Slow-query review with index suggestions for your developer
  • Disk, connection and replication-lag monitoring with alerts
Problems we fix

When MySQL goes wrong

  • Too many connections errors
  • A table crashed after a power or disk problem
  • A database that has grown until the disk is full
Who it suits

Who uses managed MySQL

Websites, shops and apps that store their data in MySQL.

What it needs

Enough RAM for the working data, fast storage, and a place for backups away from the server. Busy apps often move the database to its own server.

First look

What we check first

Before we change anything on a new MySQL setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:

  • my.cnf settings against the real load
  • Backup method, location and last restore
  • Slow query log
  • Disk growth and user permissions
How it works

From order to a watched MySQL setup

MySQL is part of every managed plan. Besides what is listed above, each plan includes outside checks every minute, off-server backups, security hardening and a team that answers your tickets. The price counts servers, not apps.

01

Tell us what you run

Order a managed plan and list your servers and the apps on them, or write to us first with questions.

02

We look before we touch

We check what is installed, what is out of date and what is not backed up, and tell you in plain words.

03

Backups and watching first

Backups and outside checks are set up before any change, so we can always go back.

04

Then the steady work

Updates, security, tuning and fixes follow, and you can ask us anything by ticket.

Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.

FAQ

MySQL support: your questions answered

Do you upgrade MySQL versions?

Yes. We test the upgrade on a copy, check that the app still works, and then change the live server at a quiet time.

Can you set up a replica?

A simple primary and replica can be planned on the Pro and Enterprise plans. We confirm what suits your size first.

Is MySQL covered by the managed plans?

Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so MySQL on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
