Managed BookStack, looked after for you
BookStack is a clear, simple wiki with books, chapters and pages. It runs on PHP and a database, and its images and attachments need backups too.
BookStack: what we look after
- BookStack updates with a backup first
- PHP and MySQL settings
- Mail and sign-in settings, including LDAP or SSO where used
- Backups of the database, uploads and configuration
When BookStack goes wrong
- Images missing after a move because uploads were not copied
- Notification emails that fail
- An update that needs a newer PHP version
Who uses managed BookStack
Companies and teams that write internal or client documentation.
What it needs
PHP, MySQL or MariaDB and 1 GB of RAM or more.
What we check first
Before we change anything on a new BookStack setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:
- The PHP version against the BookStack release
- Whether the uploads folder is part of the backup
- The mail and sign-in settings, such as LDAP or SSO
From order to a watched BookStack setup
BookStack is part of every managed plan. Besides what is listed above, each plan includes outside checks every minute, off-server backups, security hardening and a team that answers your tickets. The price counts servers, not apps.
Tell us what you run
Order a managed plan and list your servers and the apps on them, or write to us first with questions.
We look before we touch
We check what is installed, what is out of date and what is not backed up, and tell you in plain words.
Backups and watching first
Backups and outside checks are set up before any change, so we can always go back.
Then the steady work
Updates, security, tuning and fixes follow, and you can ask us anything by ticket.
Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.
BookStack support: your questions answered
Can staff sign in with their company account?
BookStack supports several sign-in methods. We prepare the server side and check the connection.
Is it good for client documentation?
Yes. Permissions let you give each client only their books.
Is BookStack covered by the managed plans?
Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so BookStack on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
