Order Portainer from the Marketplace App tab as shown in how to order a VPS with a one-click app. When the install card on your server page shows the finished result, follow the steps below.
What you get
Portainer, installed with Docker. It needs 1 GB of memory and takes 4 to 8 minutes.
1. Create the admin account within 5 minutes
Open the address on the server page: https://your-server-ip:9443/. Your browser warns about the certificate, because it is self-signed. Accept the warning and continue. Portainer asks you to create the admin account. If nobody does it within about 5 minutes, Portainer locks itself for safety. If that happens, restart it from an SSH session:
docker restart portainerThen open the page again.
2. Use it
Choose the local Docker environment. You can then see containers, images and volumes, and start new containers from a form.
