Order n8n from the Marketplace App tab as shown in how to order a VPS with a one-click app. When the install card on your server page shows the finished result, follow the steps below.
What you get
n8n, installed with Docker. It needs at least 2 GB of memory and takes 5 to 10 minutes.
1. Create the owner account now
Open the address on the server page: http://your-server-ip:5678/. The first person to open it becomes the owner, so create your account straight away.
2. Build a workflow
Start with a trigger such as a schedule or a webhook, and add steps from the list of integrations.
3. Use HTTPS before real use
The address uses plain http, so credentials you store in n8n travel unencrypted. Put it behind a domain with HTTPS before real use, for example with Nginx Proxy Manager.
Next steps
- Connect to your VPS with SSH to run the commands above.
- Secure your new VPS before you put real data on it.
- Something not working? See what happens after you order an app, or open a ticket from Support.
