Managed DokuWiki, looked after for you

DokuWiki is a simple wiki that stores pages in plain files. It is easy to run, and its main risks are open access, spam and missing backups of the data folder.

What we handle

DokuWiki: what we look after

  • DokuWiki updates with a backup of the data folder first
  • Access control lists and user settings reviewed
  • Spam protection and plugin checks
  • Regular backups of pages, media and configuration
Problems we fix

When DokuWiki goes wrong

  • A wiki that anyone can edit by mistake
  • Spam pages and bot sign-ups
  • Permissions that stop saving pages
Who it suits

Who uses managed DokuWiki

Teams that need a light internal wiki or documentation site without a database.

What it needs

PHP and a web server, about 512 MB of RAM. Storage grows with media files.

First look

What we check first

Before we change anything on a new DokuWiki setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:

  • Who can read and who can edit, according to the access control list
  • Permissions on the data folder and whether it is outside the web root
  • Which plugins are installed and how old they are
How it works

From order to a watched DokuWiki setup

DokuWiki is part of every managed plan. Besides what is listed above, each plan includes outside checks every minute, off-server backups, security hardening and a team that answers your tickets. The price counts servers, not apps.

01

Tell us what you run

Order a managed plan and list your servers and the apps on them, or write to us first with questions.

02

We look before we touch

We check what is installed, what is out of date and what is not backed up, and tell you in plain words.

03

Backups and watching first

Backups and outside checks are set up before any change, so we can always go back.

04

Then the steady work

Updates, security, tuning and fixes follow, and you can ask us anything by ticket.

Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.

FAQ

DokuWiki support: your questions answered

Does DokuWiki need a database?

No. It uses files, which makes backups simple: we copy the data folder and keep versions.

Can you move a wiki from another system?

Yes. We can import content from common wiki formats or move an existing DokuWiki as it is.

Is DokuWiki covered by the managed plans?

Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so DokuWiki on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
