Is Syncthing a backup?
Not by itself, because a deletion is synced too. With versioning and a separate backup it is a good tool.
Can the server be the always-on device?
Yes. A server keeps a copy online so your laptops can sync when they are on.
Is Syncthing covered by the managed plans?
Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so Syncthing on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
