Managed Spring Boot, looked after for you

A Spring Boot service is a Java program that needs the right memory settings, a service manager and a proxy in front. Wrong heap settings are the most common cause of crashes.

What we handle

Spring Boot: what we look after

  • Java version installation and security updates
  • Spring Boot jar run as a systemd service, restarted on failure
  • Heap and garbage collection settings sized to the server
  • Nginx proxy with HTTPS and external health checks
Problems we fix

When Spring Boot goes wrong

  • Out-of-memory crashes
  • Slow start-up and timeouts after a deploy
  • Logs that fill the disk
Who it suits

Who uses managed Spring Boot

Companies that run Java services and business back ends built with Spring Boot.

What it needs

A supported Java version, a systemd service, a reverse proxy, a database, and 2 GB of RAM or more because the JVM needs room.

First look

What we check first

Before we change anything on a new Spring Boot setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:

  • Java version and security updates
  • Heap size against server memory
  • Service restart behaviour
  • Log rotation and health endpoint
How it works

From order to a watched Spring Boot setup

Spring Boot is part of every managed plan. Besides what is listed above, each plan includes outside checks every minute, off-server backups, security hardening and a team that answers your tickets. The price counts servers, not apps.

01

Tell us what you run

Order a managed plan and list your servers and the apps on them, or write to us first with questions.

02

We look before we touch

We check what is installed, what is out of date and what is not backed up, and tell you in plain words.

03

Backups and watching first

Backups and outside checks are set up before any change, so we can always go back.

04

Then the steady work

Updates, security, tuning and fixes follow, and you can ask us anything by ticket.

Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.

FAQ

Spring Boot support: your questions answered

Can you run Tomcat as well?

Yes. We can run a Spring Boot jar directly or a WAR on Tomcat, depending on how your app is built.

Do you tune the JVM?

Yes. We set memory and garbage collection to fit the server, and tell you if the app needs a bigger one.

Is Spring Boot covered by the managed plans?

Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so Spring Boot on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
