Managed Pi-hole, looked after for you

Pi-hole blocks ads and trackers for every device on a network by acting as a DNS server. It should never be open to the whole internet.

What we handle

Pi-hole: what we look after

  • Pi-hole installed and reachable only from your network or VPN
  • Blocklists and allow lists tuned to avoid breaking sites
  • Upstream DNS settings with privacy in mind
  • Updates and backups of the configuration
Problems we fix

When Pi-hole goes wrong

  • An open resolver on the internet that attackers abuse
  • Sites that break because a list blocks too much
  • DNS that stops when the server is down
Who it suits

Who uses managed Pi-hole

Households and small offices that want to block ads and trackers.

What it needs

A small server of 512 MB of RAM and a VPN for remote use.

First look

What we check first

Before we change anything on a new Pi-hole setup, we look at these, and we tell you what we found in plain words:

  • Who can send DNS queries to it, and whether it is open to the whole internet
  • Which blocklists are active and whether they break sites you use
  • Whether the configuration is backed up
How it works

From order to a watched Pi-hole setup

Pi-hole is part of every managed plan. Besides what is listed above, each plan includes outside checks every minute, off-server backups, security hardening and a team that answers your tickets. The price counts servers, not apps.

Tell us what you run

02

We look before we touch

We check what is installed, what is out of date and what is not backed up, and tell you in plain words.

03

Backups and watching first

Backups and outside checks are set up before any change, so we can always go back.

04

Then the steady work

Updates, security, tuning and fixes follow, and you can ask us anything by ticket.

Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server. GST is added at checkout. See all managed plans.

FAQ

Pi-hole support: your questions answered

Is a public Pi-hole safe?

No. A DNS server open to the internet is abused. We bind it to a VPN or private network.

Can I use it away from home?

Yes, over WireGuard. We set the VPN up to use it.

Is Pi-hole covered by the managed plans?

Yes. The managed plans count servers, not applications, so Pi-hole on your server is covered with no extra price per app. Plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and GST is added at checkout.
